I was thinking about just modifing the axles. but then the car would handel a lot better with the independent rear. I also belive my rear end in the GXL is a 3.90 its an auto. im not much on gear ratios but the GSL rear is a 4.10, so the 3.90 is a little more streetable

4.10 would give you a little bit more punch from the light and the 3.90 is gonna give you better cruising rpms. All depends on what you consider "streetable". The GSL would get my vote just for the LSD factor and the fact that you can pack the rear end to work the way you want.

the GXL should have a lsd also I think?. I like the stock four link its great but I want more. and the end result is Weld drag lights I spin first, second and chirp third. thats with the stock 185/70SR13

Im sorry yah it I think it does, I heard you have to grind the axle down where it fits into the differential a bit to get the 84-85 axles to fit. I could be wrong its happened like once before.
