The Fuel Pressure Regulator Job
#1
ok im in the middle of this job and have got it all apart, now im down to taking off the rail to get the injectors out to replace the o rings and stuff. anyway when i took off the dyn chamber and uim i see that each outside intake port is very black and lined with black crusty stuff. is this normal?
ill be back on in a little while im about to go to the parts store to get the fuel line for the fpr and the vacuum hose for it too, these are still original and the vac line is cracked on one end and the fuel line had to be split to remove.

another question hopefully this one will get an answer, im putting the car back together and the omp rod is no wear close to as loose as it was when i took it off and barely goes onto the part that it connects to. if i do get it on there the throttle wont move bc the omp rod wont move. could this be bc i have no oil in the car?
im gonna go put the oil in and see if that helps, if it doesnt i guess ill pull the belly pan and see what i can find.

well thanks for looking at least! the problem with the rod was that the rod had slid down in the omp connector and was a pain to get back up bc there is a bend right where it goes through the connector.
got the car started and the idle was surging horribly but that was just a vac line that i forgot to reconnect.
