I removed practically everything in underneath the manifold and since i broke a few vacuum hoses i ordered a set from Hosetech. But now i'm haveing difficulty in removing the Fuel pressure Regulator in my car. I got so frustrated and decided to ask around(like right now) It's almost impossible to get a screw driver in there and if you do, you have to space to get a good grip on it so you can turn it. Has anyone here done this before. Does this require removing the harness out the way? Any advice from someone who's done this before would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

You could just take the secondary fuel rail off, and do it on a bench. Or you could get a screwdriver bit and a 1/4" socket and try to twerk it. I would just take the fuel rail off, though.

i did mine on the car, without removing the fuel rail. All I did was get a stubby phillips head screwdriver stuck it on there, and used a pair of channel locks to turn the screwdriver while applying pressure from behind, came off really easy.

That's the easiest way to do it right there. Instead of using philips screw drivers, use either channel locks or vice grips.

have to be careful though, not to round off or strip the screw.

Thanks people... i finally replaced it... and i admit the easiest way is to take off the fuel rail. and yes i stripped the dam screws but had ordered replacements before cause i knew i would strip it, just like i stripped every other screw that i had to take off to get to the rail. (chissel and hammer, that's how i got them off) Iwould have to say tha t this is the most difficult task in the 3rd gen. what do you guys think?

I just hope that i didn't have to replace the o-rings that were just underneath that fuel rail when i took it off, right under the injectors.
