I hate hidden bolts! When I pulled my 12a, I had to seperate from the tranny and I missed a side plate near the exhaust. A 2 hour job ended up taking 2 days with all the ******* around. https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...IR#>/angry.png

Hey Mike, you could tell me anything that might help here. https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...DIR#>/wink.png I want the T2 in the car this weekend and it doesn't seem to be getting there this month at this rate

haha, look again for hidden bolts they are sneaky and like to hide under the goo. usually you have to tap the back of the cover with a hammer (with the oil pan off) to pop the front cover off

I just went out to the garage to take a look at a front cover.....yup, only 6 bolts holding it on. Use the tap method like Mike said. If you jam a screwdriver in there you will ding the cover and maybe cause a leak in the future. Or wait, you're tring to remove the T2 cover? You won't need that one anyways so jam away! https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...DIR#>/wink.png

I had one that was so stuck, it pulled the dowel pins out of the side plate. They were rusted to the front cover. Only 6 bolts.
