A/f gauge install
Hey guys. I came upon this installation of A/F meter. And was wondering if the installation would be similar on my 85 GSLSE.A/F Meter install
Has anyone installed one in their cars??
Thanks
Has anyone installed one in their cars??
Thanks
I haven't used one, but afaik, A/F meters are really only needed in Turbo engines as these cars can't run lean or they will burn a hole in a piston. Or a seal in the case of a rotary. As you can see from the photos, this is installed in a 3rd gen car, and they are all turbo.
So maybe you can save your money for something else? Unless you just want that trick look or are really into tuning.
Just my 2 cents of course,

I was told that if you hook the a/f to the stock o2 it will mess with the cpu so you need to put in a 2nd o2. i slaped in a o2 on my 83 and the cyberdyne a/f works like a charm. i got the pods from eguages.com and did a 1 2 combo for a 3 piller pod
I bought a O2 bung from summit racing for like $6. Then I took a used O2 sensor from a JDM engine I had, I just hooked up the wire to a el cheapo ebay A/F gauge and It worked great on my 12A..
I used it for carb tuning. Just to make sure I wouldnt run lean and hurt anything. That and I dont want to waste and more fuel then i haft to... That **** will break the bank for how much I like to go driving...
