I've just installed a gsl-se 13b into a '85 gsl and I have removed the acv, air pump, cats, power steering, 5th and 6th port actuators, and a/c. I was cranking over the engine to help lubricate it before I tried to start it and the electrical connection to the acv relay started smoking. So I thought maybe I plugged the connection into the wrong relay and switched it to a different relay. It still smoked. Then, I disconnected the wire and tried cranking it again and once more it smoked. I guess the ecu is still trying to function the acv even though it is disconnected. Do I have to make a short connector for the wire? Has anyone had this problem when removing the acv and what should I do about it?

Also, the fuse(10A) going to the disconnected rear wiper seems to keep blowing along with the smoke from the black wires(grounds?) going to the acv relay.

I've hooked up everything and tried starting the motor. It turns over fine but doesn't try to sputter and run at all. All the plugs are sparking but seemed to have alot of fuel on them.

Does this mean there's a problem with the injectors and/or ecu? And is my electrical problem in any relation to the starting problem?

Someone please help! I'm feel like I'm so close to having it up and running but so far away.
