my stock door panels are in bad shape. has any one done or seen some type of replacement.

i think the early fc door panels will match up, not sure. ive been meaning to go hunting through some junk jards and see what i turn up.

That's an issue that we all wrestle with...fb door panels are hard to come by. I would recommend trying to salvage what you have by reupholstering as long as your door panels aren't physically damaged or torn or something. I found that you can cut off the top 4 or 5 inches off the panel (follow the existing contour), trim the edge, and paint the metal underneath and it looks pretty good. Usually the top of the panel, where it meets the window, is where it rips and fades anyway.

as a side note (on the topic of doors),



the cost of a new door from mazda here is $1500 each.

what about that not-to-durable piece of vynal? in the rear that covers the rounded wheel well/shock area, has anyone replaced that with something better looking and stronger?

I'll be tackling that in a month or so when I put my interior back in.... I had planned to do something with that area, but I don't know what yet...
