I did an entire swap from red to charcoal grey on our 85. I'll tel you this i'll never do it again. I had to remove the interior i bought from the car, then had to remove the red in my car so that i could reinstall the charcoal grey. Now that I've done it a few times it is easy but it is a massive job to do.

K well, I'm halfway through getting this stuff out, and I got a couple questions... Are the bolts that hold the steering column to the dash the orange-painted philips-head ones? cuz I've broken a screwdriver bit in my ratchet on those SOBs and I can't for the life of me get it out with anything else.... little help?

I did the same thing with my car. Heres what the interior looked like when I got it...

(no joke this is the same car). It is tedious work, but if your careful and make sure to mark all the wires and stuff you should be fine. Its alot of work, but look at my before and after pictures. TOTALLY worth it!

Thanks for the pics bud. Looks great! Huge improvement.

I've got everything out and its just about ready for spray... just gotta pick up a few more parts I broke (I hate dash vents) . I went with black EVERYTHING though... no grey anywhere... I'm a little worried as to how it'll look, but I guess we'll see. Pics to follow

That dash looks great in teh after shots.

Here's my question. How much different are the '83 dashes? I am going to have to replace the dash in my PA. It's cracked all to hell. Thanks in advance.
