theres 3 bolts along the windsheild

2 bolts on each side of the dash under a triangularish plastic trim bit

2 bolts on each side on the center trans tunnel, under the carpeted side cover bits

2 big connectors near the steering column

2 bolts that hold the steering column to the dash

taking the shifter out, makes it easier, but its an option

speedo cable

antenna

and a couple of other little connectors

and it comes right out as one assembly

Before you do this let me ask you why you want to do this...putting the dash back in is a big PITA

I've been planning to dye my interior black during the long Canadian winter. ..

So I'm going to need to do this too... Why is it such a huge PITA?

The 84-85 dash is one piece. So it is a little hard to manuever. If you do this then I reccomend removing your steering wheel. Getting the dash out was easy, putting it in was a little harder. If you have an extra set of hands you are ahead of the game.

If I were you I would just try and remove the skin. I have not done this though and am not sure how difficult it would be...
