Hey all,

I have a s4 13b with extended port and stock carbie And dlidfis, im interested in what the timing should be, from what i know stock is 5deg ATDC for leading 20deg ATDC for trailing, for an extended port the timing should be adjusted though??

From what i have read timing should be set at total centrifugal advance also, and if it IS set at total advance does it even matter what the Idle timing will be then?

Thanks

Chris

no such thing, my man.

S4 13Bs are all fully electronic fuel injected (with a non-distributor ignition system) in stock form. that said, you should let us know which carbie system you're using on your engine. recommendations can be better made using that info.

stock idle timing on an s4 13b, is -5 BTDC L and -20 BTDC T.

you're going to want to set the timing @ full advance, which is over 4000rpms. it should be in the 20-24 BTDC L range. this doesnt change the idle timing much, like 2-4 degrees
