if your drive way is really flat and you have another person to help it should only take about 4 hours. I had to cut my pilot bearing out with a drill bit cuz i broke a puller for it. Good luck!

jack, jack stands, pilot bearing removal tool, extra set of hands. are u gonna try and ghetto resurface the flywheel? then an impact wrench, unless u get lucky. make sure that no oil leaks from the tranny.

saw your sig went to the site and like this quote from the article...

"Get this, a total of eight 1,600cc Kinsler squirters are required to meet the Wankel's insatiable appetite for alcohol." LOL

I find that if the car is on jacks, then air tools for the flywheel nut are indispensable. If the car is higher (read: more room underneath) then a long breaker bar will work also.

yeah, my clutch was phwakin' annihilated, there was nothin but a bare pad with threads hangin off after a whole 8 months of bein in there. It was a really cheap one from www.eclutchmaster.com Actually i got his Ebay special, 83-88 Non-turbo RX-7 Clutch kit (clutch, pressure plate, release brg, pilot brg, and alignment tool) for less than $130. Anyway, I had borrowed a pilot brg removal tool from a concrete company, they used them on the huge diesel concrete trucks, i snapped it in 2 tryin ta pull out ma pilot brg in ma 85! so i got out the dremel and a small drill bit and went at it tryin not to damage my output shaft. I grinded one side down till i could collapse the brg with a screwdriver and rip that **** out. I think i hooked up the tranny wires wrong when i put it back in tho.

Sounds like an electrical or maybe even a tranny/electrical problem? Did they work before you changed your clutch?

Ya they worked, but now they arnt even hooked up, I got like 4 single wires on the engine end, and 2 single wires on the tranny end. ALL of them are different colours and they plug into each other individually. Know what I mean? Only two goto the tranny, but I can't match the two up. And two are unused (or are for something I havent discovered yet).

Oh and where do you check your transmission oil level? I can't find a little dipstick or anything. Although I have been known to miss obvious things. Thats something that remains to be done. Same with the rear end....
