Also, the NGK plugs are notorious for being stubborn. I once bought a brand new set of plugs, ran my car for 3 days, flooded the engine, and had to buy new plugs. It took me about 7 hours to realize it was the plugs, because sometimes its too damn hard to tell. Of course, I was running a jetted stock Nikki, and sometimes fuel liked to accumulate in on the secondaries if i sat just before WOT. If i never oopened her up to WOT before I shut the car off, then she would flood, really bad. Talk about a rebuild gone wrong. Oh well, I rebuilt her after that and the carb was fine.
BTW - IMO the best way to clear a severly flooded engine is this: Remove all plugs, and remove T and L coil wires. Spray some ether through both 1 and 2 rotors, and crank her for a few seconds. Always worked like a charm.
