Rotary Racer X

My car will be running great and then it will just shut down due to not receiving spark at all. The car might start up again in 5 min., 1 hour, or in a few days. My spark plugs are new and I replaced both of my ignition modules. The problem is also not caused due to something getting hot and then cooling down allowing the car to start again. I know this because I have the car parked and I will try to turn it on every other day or so and sometimes it turms on and sometimes it does not. The engine cranks but won't turn on due to not receiving spark. This sounds like something electrical and is hard to diagnose because I take it to my mechanic and all of a sudden the car always wants to start. Any information on this will help greatly.
