i recently bought an 85 Gs.

theres a racingbeat manifold and holley 600 on it. im new to carbs and im wondering why anyone would intentionally place a screw in the throttle linkage so that the carb works as a 2 barrel instead of a 4??? the 2 that do not open are closest the the passenger fender....a little bit of carb knowledge would help me here. i been reading up, but dont see why that would be done.

Its because thr Holley 600 is too big for a stock 12a. So by making it a"2 barrel" not as much gas goes to the motor thus making it more drivable.
