R100 or RX-2
#13
I have a friend who just offered to trade or sell me his r100. I can't let go of my car but at the same time I want his! I don't know all the stats on the r100 he has but I know it runs. Body is clean cept for a hole cut into the hood. He's gonna trade some other guy for a classic celica and 3500 if I don't take it first. Wish I had some money to take it off his hands. It's probably the only r100 anywhere near where I live

a finished, nice car, should be in the 4000-6000range, a really really nice one will be more.
the r100 is small, you have to do some work to fit a 12a into it, 13b requires surgery, and would be scary with a turbo...
rx2 is 1stgen sized, but again, these things a quick NA

Yes go with the Rx-2 if you can find one. My grandpa helped me put one together, and every time i start it up to go deliver another pizza or to go somewhere on a nice sunny day, it feels like Christmas morning when you're 5 years old.
As far as price goes, take whatever you can get. I saw one on craigslist about a year ago for $4000, but last summer, i was working, and someone came up to me and offered me 7500, cash.(Said no, cause i love my 2). Mine isn't that nice(needs some new paint), but she runs super smooth. best of luck to you though.

From my searching prior to purchasing my vehicle i realized that rx2 are relatively easy to find parts for, i have not found anyone selling parts for a r100, so if you decide to go r100 make sure all is there otherwise buyyy tonnnns of tylenol cuz you will have many headaches, you have a pm my friend

is this forum that slow??? my post from last year is still on page two??? anywhoed. i sold my last rx-7 in october to a very nice guy in canada, and focused on my volkswagen jetta, trying not to even think about mazdas.
i got off of work yesterday and got onto the internet. i logged onto my VW club forum and under market place there was a post that read "attention kenny, attention kenny". so of course being kenny i clicked. when i did there was a link to a craigslist posting which i also clicked onto discover something i didnt expect but had to have. what i saw was a 1975 RX-4 for $300. as i said earlier chances are whatever i can get my hands on will probably be the car i get and keep. the car is very clean considering it was bought for $300. there is one spot of bondo above the passenger side rear window about the size of a dollar and a dent on the front drivers side fender. there is no motor and no front bumper. ill get some pix up as soon as i can. i cryed when i sold my 79' and now i want to cry knowing that i now own a old school mazda.
