FYI, my bad rust spot in the rear was the lower corner of the back glass. I had to cut the steel out and drop in some new corners. I also found out after sandblasting that my car's already had the strip of sheet between the trunk hinges replaced once - apparently Mazda did a number of rusty replacements. Have you found where your water is coming from?

Yep. I'm glad to finally get my name back... I have a few more questions for you, now that I'm back on track with the 74. Your suspension parts are all black, but I thought that Rust Bullet was grey-only. If you're painting over the coating, how does the finish look in the end? Are you spraying or brushing? Also, do you happen to know how you've got your Holley jetted?

Dammit, I keep piling up posts, but it's only because I didn't realize you had come so far with your 2, so I've got questions. How did you repair your defroster vents, and how bad off were they?
Here's my good one. I need a new pair BAD.

Mine were in the same shape. The plastic mazda used must not have had any UV Protection at all.
I removed the vents and carefully cleaned the surface with ACETONE. I then "bridged" the gaps with masking tape applied on the inside of the vent. Then I used epoxy to recreated the surface features

Same here. The only things that gave/give me headaches are the dash top and the vents. Mine were so deteriorated that I (dont' tell anybody) used 2 identical parts from vacuum cleaner repair kits. Close enough in shape and since they are invisible when installed, they do the job in guiding the air to the windshield.

NICE!!! Where did you get this done? I have an R100 and need to replace/repair the tie rod ends. Was it expensive? Any help is appreciated.
Thanks
