Default 1974 Rx-3 Wagon

I just picked up a 1974 RX-3 wagon, pretty much complete except for the engine. Stock it was a 12A, and there it came with the stock 4 speed tranny, plus all the wiring is there, just no motor. My plan is to take the 12A out of my 1982 RX-7, carb, oil cooler, radiator, ignition, 5-speed and all. I had a couple questions about the install though. As far as I know there are only 4 places the engine and tranny are connected to the car and that's the two motor mounts at the front, and the two tranny mount bolts. I have the Rx-3 motor mount bracket to install on the '82 12A. My questions are: 1) Are the motor mounts torqued down too much to take a normal socket wrench to? 2) How complex will it be to set up the ignition (not wiring anything to the chasis just yet) just to get the motor running well? 3) Will a 1982 5-speed tranny match the length of the 1974 4-speed so I don't have to modify the driveline? 4) What would be involved in getting the chasis electrical system to working order?

Motor will bolt on the same. As far as the transmission your 82 will NOT fit it too long. You have three options. 1 cut a hole in the tranny tunnel to make your tranny fit. 2 shorten ur tranny at the shifter it needs to be move back about 4 inches. 3 find your self a 5 speed 79 transmission that will bolt on no.modification.

Transmission ended up being the same length, so the stock driveline will fit. The shifter sits a little further back though so we'll have to cut a little bit of an opening in the floor a couple inches back so not too bad. The motor is in and mounted up but the tranny needs a custom mount, radiator brackets need soldering, and I need to somehow find which wire sends power from the key "on" position to the ignition coils because I think I'm missing part of a harness... If anyone's got wiring diagrams or knows the right direction, I'd appreciate it.
