Hello everyone, really new here and I hate posting stuff like this, but if i can keep one more person from getting ripped off it's worth it. I got ripped off for a couple hundred dollars from a guy calling himself, Matthew Dernoga on Instagram using the account Auto Part RX7 Garage, I purchased a part for 150 and 50 for shipping once I sent him the money he tried to extort me for another 100 for "customs" charges to ship from Utah to Texas, once I said no ship me my parts or refund me, he blocked me, and changed his user name to Nuolmike_Rx7_Parts. I have all the screen shots of my dealings with this scammer. Beware of this guy. Why can't people just be honest?

I saw... sucks you got scammed. Fyi, the post you made on Shawn landers group will not help you or anyone. They promote scammers,blame the victims and ARE scammers themselves. Proven so. Shawn uses his local dealership and his friend there to con customers into paying more for his used motors than new ones. Rotary police called him put on that. his groups fueled by matt montgomery and his scam posts. Buy off ebay, use buyer protection, never think these "enthusiasts" give a f*ck about the community or your build. They are drunk with power and fame.

Matt was a ig scammer until he was caught and called out, then it was no longer his and hes not on Instagram. Mhmmmm

But from 2019-2020 it was his.

When they are confronted they always say it was someone stealing pics or never was them. They ban anyone who proves otherwise.

Thanks for the heads up. I learned a lesson on this one. Just sad that people have to suck and be dishonest. I will avoid all the Instagram vendors in the future.
All I can hope is that the money he scammed me out of maybe feed somebody's kid dinner. While a little painful I have certainly wasted more money than that on stupid crap before. Maybe I'm just a slow learner.

Its hard to find parts these days. Cars are rare and the parts are not aging well. Buckie (rx7 factory) and many others on the groups have learned what I did early on and that if you want to sell your random parts through your hobby shop set up and ebay account. Its a few bucks lost to a middle man but it shows reputation and had buyer protection far superior to paypal, which is the only source people on social media seem to use. A heads up on the groups, they are all ran by the same handful of guys. Posting in one place is the same as posting in all places now. I just mention this as I saw you also posted in the main rx7 group, and that as well as the one pictured above is ran by Chad. If you offend five people you can lose all social media access to the rx7 community... so careful who you call out or buy from. Its best to just stick to sharing pics and talking about how nice peoples stuff is, anything else gets them on your wall lol.
