ditto.

How about throwing the idea of having 2 BBQs. 1 in the lower region of the TRI7 club, and the other one in the upper region of the club.

just some thoughts.

UniqueTII 11-16-2001 05:46 AM

I'll bring more charcoal next time, and JR's wife won't have to do all the cooking. I'm sure we'll be having some events up in Syracuse, so anyone from the north will be welcome here.

LOL, I was expecting to hear about that the whole ride home, but her Mustang blew a head gasket and we got stranded in bumb **** NJ so that sort of shifted her attention elsewhere.

well the 2'nd BBQ will be mostlikly where the first one was, so you don't need no stink'in directions LOL

vosko 11-20-2001 04:46 PM

i might have a FD that doesn't smoke and leave coolant puddles on the ground for the next one :p i think we are gonna have to get a designated cook or something. or pay someone :sigh:

I don't remember who, but I remember you and someone else live really close to the picnic area. This idea was taken from Bacon's statement about people w/ food showing early, maybe you should have people paypal you some money instead of bringing things and you and the other person in charge can get the food. That way we know the food/neccesities will be there the whole time instead of burgers showing up at 11 and buns at 1230. But just an idea.

vosko 11-25-2001 11:50 PM

yeah we can do that its not a big deal at all. that is fine with me or i'll make bacon bring the food up a week earlier and throw it in my spare fridge https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...IR#>/smile.png

UniqueTII 11-26-2001 06:55 PM

If I'm available to go next year, I'll be staying close to the park, like I did this year, and could help out with food.

another issue is we need to figure how/where to organizing the parking .... any ideas? i think we might put all the FD's in the caged area

13BAce would be good to bring food his car is so fast. anything he brings won't have enough time to heat up even coming from long island https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...IR#>/smile.png

vosko 11-26-2001 07:31 PM

another thing i can think of is to try and get awards for best fb,fc, fd etc ...

turbovr6 11-26-2001 08:22 PM

Ok here's the deal. Last year Vosko and I threw the BBQ together kinda last minuet, half assed. Plus it did'nt help that we did the directions @ 3 in the morning the night before. :sleepgo:

Anyway, I'm 99% positive the BBQ will be held @ the same location. A few changes need to be made though. First, Vosko and I will reserve the site in Feburary so everyone will have atleast 3 months to plan for it. Second, instead of everyone bringing food, we will determine a fair $ for each participant to pay. We can eithe accept the $$ by paypal, or regular mail. This way we can get all the food ahead of time. (anyone who shows up last minute will be charged, no freebies, so don't worry.) Third, we need to get a few people to voulenteer to do the cooking. Last BBQ one person did 99% of the cooking which was unfair. Last and most important, We will have some type of award for best of each class I.E. 1st,2nd,3'd gen. So if anyone has connections to get discounts on trophies and or rx-7 parts please let us know.

Well thats it for now, Post any suggestions that you may have. Thanks again to everyone who participated in the first BBQ. This year the goal is 200+ 7's in the show https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...IR#>/smile.png

cummon onw we all know the ******* with the burgers didnt show up till like 1-1:30

i swear if he ends up bringin the burgers again and shwos up late, ill snap https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...1047683785.gif

if were chargin we can get good food! if it was like a honduh picinc id cook (im a chef) but ill be too bussy to stand in front of a grill and feed the pack of hungry wolves, i swear the line was so long i stuck with cookies and soda :tounge:....we could go high tec and grill off a bunch of stuff b4 we tell everone to show up and keep it hot on steamtables, with those sternocan thingys..i mean if we get premaid burgers like the wopper size we could easily cook off 100-200 and have all the fixins on the side, i know it sounds abiit ghetto but it works when the school has bbq-s, this way theres no riots watin for burgers to cook... https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...#>/BURNOUT.gif

but ill prob take the park way all the way up since i know wich way im going now, and by the looks of it now, shees gonna be a trailor queen if she shows @ all, so ill prob be crying when i see everones car...so if i randomly runoff flalin my arms, screamin theres no place like home...dont get wierded out....or if i ask to borrow you keys to "move your car" i live in sj, you car will be there

unfortunately, gonna be hard to organize 100 rx7's on the highway. i think we will stick to just a bbq. less speeding tickets that way https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...IR#>/smile.png

pleez we had 7 7's on the tp on the way up

me, kieth, josh, sadd, some random guy, touring fd3s, and carlos..

we had no problmes :p doin between 90-i got up to 140 with the pack...it was nuts, how many times do you see a fleet of moded fd's runnin in a line up the tp..when one would change lanes we would all follow...even though we had some retarts in mini vans and what not who tried to break us up, but we speed arround them https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...IR#>/devil.gif

UniqueTII 11-27-2001 06:13 PM

One of the food problems this year was that I didn't bring enough charcoal...25 pounds wasn't nearly enough. I'll bring 75 pounds next time and we can have the whole grill going at once. Handing out prized for best cars from each generation would be cool, even though I know I wouldn't win. Let's keep the ideas coming.

turborotor 11-27-2001 06:39 PM

Just an idea and some thing to do. I 've seen mobile dynos on a truck, and they just pull up the car on top and dyno it. Wouldn't that be cool at the bbq. Must cost a lot of money to get someone with one of those to come.

C

PS The turnpike ride was cool. I actually ended up loosing you guys on the turnpike cuse I kept hitting fuel cut because I didn't have my fcd on. I had to slowing get up to 120 and eventually catch you guys up at the last toll on the turnpike. Well gone are the days of fuel cut now.

:notify: I think I might be able to get some burgers, steaks, and chicken from work. I just have to know how much and in advance and I'll see what I can do. I work at Applebee's so I can get it realitively cheap. If that's cool with everyone and Jon comes up with a ruff estamate of people I'll be able to get a price.

Stop the negative vibes. I'm tellin' you @least 300 cars!!!!!

We will takeover the golf course if nessicary!

vosko 12-13-2001 06:00 PM

i just found out we can get a rolling dyno to come to the BBQ. this would be an additional charge obviously. i think it would be VERY interesting to have. i have to talk to the shop about and pricing for a whole day. interestingly if you have $80k you can too can purchase your very own rolling dyno https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...#>/biggrin.png the dyno also reads A/F . whatcha guys think ???
