I know the offset for the FD is best around +45-50, but i wish to bring the lip of the rim as far out as possible. I dont like the look of wheels sunk in the wheel well.

I have seen pix of rims in 18" with fronts 8.5 wide with a +37, and rears in 9.5 wide with +35 offset. Also 18" x9 front with +40 and x10 rear with +38. These two setups thus far have been the nicest i have seen.

So what would be the lowest i can run with TEIN S-Tech springs and rolled fenders on 18's??

On the front I ran a 9inch wide wheel w/ 255/30 tire +50mm offset on stock suspension



I Now have coilovers with the car riding real low and it still doesent rub.



A high offset in the rear will kill your dish, but my rears are +52 and there is still a good 4 inch dish on em..

 

For the longest time i wanted DEEP DISH, but after awhile of looking i kinda liked it more when the rim takes a curve inwards. Dont know how to describe it, but when the outer spoke is at the edge, or has a bit of a lip and the inner looks like its sucked in. Does that make sence? lol

 

It makes sence, That might have to do with wheel design as well, Offset is measured at the hub mating surface iirc...

You've probably seen that, but just in case...



If you knew the distance between your fender and your spring, then by using a strait edge find out the distance from the hub to the spring, you could almost custum size your wheels to your specs.



Id say theoretically you'd want the center of the wheel, lined up with the center of your fender well, for maximum suspension travel w/o rubbing. Then you can calculate your offset to get you there.
