I dont drive the 7 when it's wet out inless i have too. And yes i woudl want as mucg grip as i can get, but if that little exta bit is goin to cost me another 100 a tire to hell with it. Just drive slower.

The reason why the tires are so important in wet is... because you can't really predict when the tire gonna get hydroplane. You see, drivers might feel OK driving at 60 mph, and cruise through light connors w/ that speed. But, this particular connor has lower ground....has some 1 ince of water on top! And, the drivers don't know that. I'd like to be a driver who gets pass it w/o hydroplane. I see it as a safety measure.



See, you don't have to be a racecar driver in the rain, but sometimes, things are just not nice to you and if you're prepared, it's good. If not, **** happens.



All I was saying is that good in wet is important for a better protection as you can never see what lies in front in wet. Don't tell me to just drive like granny or don't drive in rain either cuz sometimes it's just not possible. How can you do 50 in 60 zone when others are doing 65-70?

I'm not at all saying to drive like a granny. if you make sure you have good tread and a good tire. i'm saying the diff between a S-03 and a Dunlop FM901 is allmost nothing at 60mph. You wont ever get to the S-03's limit inless your goin to push the car in the rain. And for the 100 dollar diffrence in tires i dont see a problem.

I've owned S-03's, FM901's, Kum-ho 711's, Kum-ho 712's, BFG ZR's, BFG Drag radials, and a whole **** load of other stuff. I run a tire shop, i deal with tires everyday i have all kinds of information on all of them. And i can tell you from personal experience that there isn't much of a diff between S-03's and FM901's other than the fact that the FM901 costs 94 dollars and a S-03 costs 200 per tire right now. I just looked those up, so those are what they cost right now. On top of that the S-03 is the fastest wearing tire i have owned next to the Kum-ho 712. Both a FM901 and a S-03 are rated as Ultra High Performance tires And both have very similar wear, traction, and temp ratings. So if you wish to waste your money for that little bit of extra performance go ahead and do so. Cause i've pushed the FM901's just as far as i have the S-03's. So till you go and run these tires for your self keep your mouth shut.

My thoughts exactly. My brother had the continentals, and they sucked ***. Ive had Dunlop SP8000's and currently Bridgestone Potenza RE750's. Ive driven on S03's and Yoka ES100's. The SP8000's and ES100's were pretty close overall, with a slight edge to the Yokas. My 225 RE750's gripped better than 245 ES100's my friend had on his FC. The S03's were on an S2000, and felt a little grippier, but not enough to justify the price over the RE750's, not to mention the horrible treadwear of the S03's.
