Nope. There are 255's that are wider than some 265's. Check those manufacturers specs to be sure.

AH HAH! I knew somebody would ask that. It makes no sense if you measure section width as a logical human. But we aren't dealing with logic here. Those numbers are just for reference. I've had a set of 225/50R16 Yokohama Advan A-032R's and a set of Yokohama Advan Intermediates of the same size. The A-032R's were narrower by about 7/10th's of an inch. That's what the specs on Tire Rack said and it was pretty obvious seeing them side by side. Same manufacturer, same model family, same size but they were very different never the less.

So check those tires specs if you think that fitment is going to be a close call. :bigthumg:

You can fit an 18x10 in front with a 285/30/18 and a +50 offset, I believe. There's not too many tire choices though.

285's in FRONT?? he must have took out the plastic wheel wells and had different offset n possible fender flares... i would love to see that.
i run 18X10 kinesis wheels with 285/30-18 khumo victoracers all around on my track FD. the offset is 52mm. max cooper uses the same setup on CCW wheels. actually, this is kind of known as the "cooper fitment". with 750/550 spring rates, and almost stock ride height (maybe 1/2 inch lower), the only rubbing is at the back on very high G corners. i planning on rolling my fenders and that should eliminate the problem. i would not recommend this kind of setup for the street but it is THE setup for a track car.

regards
