I'm looking to match a set of tokico 5way adjustable shocks with a lower riding set of springs. Does anyone know the spring rates for the above companies? The springs in particular can be found at;

http://www.mazdatrix.com/h93-95a.htm

How do they compare to stock?

You can pretty much find the answer to all of your questions in the nopistons.com store and save yourself a ton of money, they Eibach's are $219.99 for the set.

The Eibach are progressive, meaning htey give you a stiffer ride under load, heavy cornering, accelleration, etc... without sacrificing ride. Any of linear springs will be stiff and sacrifice ride, I would stay away from the Racing Beat, I have heard of several issues with them not standing the test of time, ie sag, etc....

Oh sorry forgot to answer the spring rate question, I believe the Eibach's are 90/165 Rear and 70/185 Front

The two numbers indicating the progressive spring rate.

Thanks for the response. Does anyone know the rates for the others?

My fear with going to a progressive spring is that it will be too soft initially and then too stiff (or not stiff enough) on the high end.

Does anyone know what the other spring rates are?

Thanks!

Hmm.. I seem to have located most of that information on scuderiani(?)'s site.

I think your values may be low by about 100 lb/in each.

Most of the Eibach ProKit sets are progressive spring rates, but the Prokit set for FD's is a linear spring rate. You only have to look at the uniform coil spacing to tell.

When I bought mine at Truechoice, they told me the Eibach Pro Kits spring rates are about 365/275 ft/lbs. F/R, or about 25 percent stiffer than stock.

I took this off of Eibach's website.. so I'm not sure what's right. I was under the impression that ALL ProKits are progressive.

All Eibach Pro-Kits are designed by experienced engineers specialized in chassis dynamics and are tested by seasoned qualified drivers. They are designed to properly and safely lower your vehicle's center of gravity through the use of proprietary progressive spring rates; reducing squat during acceleration, body roll in the turns, and nose dive under braking. Upon installation, your vehicle becomes exceptionally stable and secure under a much wider range of conditions and will provide years of enhanced driving pleasure, whether you are twisting your way through a mountain pass or cruising down the interstate or tempting the Autobahn.

Furthermore, uniform spacing of coils would not be the only way I'd identify a spring's weight type. I would assume that the FD would hav extremely minimal rate increases, so that may be a reason for the appearance of consistent coil spacing.. But to be honest, I've never seen a set of Eibachs, I purchased H&R's for myself.
