I just read the pre cautions:

Nitto NT-555R Extreme Drag Radial Tires are not street legal when the tread depth indicators are reached at 2/32nds inch remaining tread depth. Do not use the drag tires for street use at this point.

The unidirectional tread pattern with slanted grooves and lateral slits allow for water drainage in spite of the very low void ratio. However, Nitto Tires recommends reducing vehicle speeds in all wet driving conditions.

Humm..

What stickies do you run on the road Vosko? I run the 555's right now and while they're the best tire I've ever owned they do leave a bit to be desired. I was thinking of the BF g-Force series.

On a almost totally unrelated note, the blue Skyline in that add, you know the BF add in every flipin import mag, belongs to a guy that lives down the street from me. I tried to run against him once but he acted like he didn't see me. when I talked to a guy(one of those 300z types) from the car club he is in he said they had all seen my car around and wanted to know if I wanted to join their club . HA, HA, HA, nice to know those other guys talk it up alot but recognize the power of 1.3.

You have the 555R's.. and can get no traction?! I thought they were suppose to help give more traction.. I'm confused..

naw, he said he has 555's not 555r's. There R's are the drag radial the R2s are the same compound with a stiffer sidewall, the 555's are just a regular mid grade tire.
