New Rotors With New Pads...
#12
Your Hawk pads came with a set of instructions - they're a pretty good guide to how it works.
One thing you'll probably observe - the new brakes feel like they take longer to stop.. Well, they probably do.
Slotted/drilled rotors, in my experience, have worse stopping times than standard vented rotors (OEM) when the surface is cold. Conversely, I noticed that when I heat the brakes up the stopping time decreases significantly.
For instance, my 60MPH slam-on-the-brake stopping time on cold brakes is LONGER than my 80MPH slam-on-the-brake stopping time on hot brakes.
