I know this may have already been asked a million times, but will a set of R's fit my car? Mine is the four-lug style, which is 4.5 inch pattern, right. I wanted a set of them or a set of stock 98' Cobras. What's the biggest size I can go? I have an SE with wheels off of a convertible (with low profiles) right now and there doesn't seem to be much clearance. What about widths?

While I'm here, I need to ask a question about my brakes. Sometimes they work fine. Most of the time they don't. I have to almost give it all I got to get stopped. The brake pedal doesn't go down as far as it does when they work fine. The pedal feels 'hard'. Usually, I have to gear down every gear really hard to get stopped in time. I don't know if I have ABS or not. If so, could it be leaky ABS lines? I looked in the fuse panel @ the slot for ABS and there was no fuse there. I tried putting one in and it wouldn't go. It turns out that there are no metal retainers to hold a fuse in place in that slot, just like the ones in the middle that aren't used.

Correction...Mustangs are both 4 and 5 lug. Most of the pre-SN95 models were 4 lug. Almost all the wheel manufacturers that make Cobra R's sell them in 4 or 5 lug patterns. That's not the question.

It really depends on how low you want your tires to be... get some low-pro rubber band tires and you could prolly throw some 18s... at least 17s on there.

you do not have ABS on your car. How do you have convertible wheels on your car right now if you have 4 lugs?

Did all convertibles have 5 lugs? If so, I guess that's not whaat I have. They look identical, though. I think they are "ARE" brand wheels rather than "BBS". I dont know for sure because they don't have center caps.
