Brake Help Please!
#1
Ok guys, I need some help in a big way. I took off my rear disk and removed the pads from the caliper. I tried to get the new pads on but the caliper was not in far enough. Long story short, I cant get the damn cliper back in far enough to get the pads on and around the new rotor disk. I have a C-Clamp, I have tried leverage on it and nothing works. I have opened the bleed valve while appying pressure, still nothing.
Someone PLEASE HELP......

OK, I have screwed the piston in, I have removed the lock bolt from the caliper, I have done everything the directions and tips and other pages have told me to and I STILL cannot get the ******* thing back together. Its like the brake pads are too thick or something. I try to rotate the top part of the caliper down over the pads and it gets stuck.
Can someone PLEASE help?
Thanks

They wouldn't be Hawk pads, would they?
I bought some and had my original discs turned. They barely fit back together. With new discs they might not have made it either.
Are you trying to use the shims?

They were Hawk pads. I called the local auto parts store and took the Hawk pad up there. It was about 1/8 inch thicker than the stock replacement. I got the replacement pads and everything went smooth as silk.
Thanks for everyones input. I am glad that is over now.
The rotors look awesome by the way!
