i have heard this setup is possible, is this true? on a 2gen

it requires a +40mm offset and some 2.5 springs...

what are the biggest tires u guys have on your 7's. and what exactly is offset. i think that would be pretty ****** cool to have like 1 foot long tires in back..

I have 275/35/18's on an 18x9 with a +30 mm offset. The fenders need to be rolled for them to fit. With a +35 mm offset they would probably work without rolling.

aren't your tires a little tall, compared to stock diameter? i though u wanted to stay within 3% of the stock diameter so u don't lose torque, or throw off your speedo, did u have it recalibarted?

do u have any pics?

The tires are a little bit too tall, but they were only $75 each. :sigh: My speedometer is off by 2.8%. So when it says 100 I'm really going 102.8.

The convertible rims are great because they're so light.

When you roll fenders you bend the inside lip upward so that the tire has a little extra clearance. My rims are 18x8 +30 mm front and 18x9 +30 mm rear.

Thanks treceb. It went across the river in November, but it should be able to make the trip again this month. https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...DIR#>/cool.png
