I'm about to buy a set of fn01-rc's for my Fc in 17x8's. What offsets should I run to sit flush without rolling fenders or using excessive camber?.. If I need to change the width that's fine. Also, I plan on running stretched tires. Any help is greatly appreciated!

don't run the stretch tire look. It's gives shitty handling

I'm just talking about a slight stretch, nothing crazy. And yeah, it's to stiffen the sidewall a little for drift. Maybe it does affect handling slightly, but I like the steering reponse. Just a matter of preferance really.

To each his own. I've run stretched tires at 3 times during local drift events with no abnormal or ill effects. Did it make me a better driver? Nope, it's just my preference.

8" wheels in the front need a bit more offset than +30 with a stock setup. I've had +30 16x8's with 225/50R16's Yoko AVS Int. and they rubbed. Granted, with 17's and slightly shorted sidewalls the tires will be more "squared" off, but it'd still be touching. After I got a sway bar, rolled the fender, and dialed in about 2 degrees of camber did it no longer rub at autocross. +35 or +38 would be very nice up front. For the rear, 8" fits great with +30. Go for 9" and +38 and it'd be SUH-WEET.



What is a stretched tire? Some people's opinions vary. On a 8" tire, I'd go for a 225 or a 235. Some people say this is too narrow. I know 195's on a 8" wheel is silly, but so it running 255's (seen it on American cars).



Also, check those manufacturers specs. One 225 tire might not be the same as another 225 tire. I used 225/50R16 Yokohama Advan A032R's and Yokohama Advan AVS Intermediates. Same size for both, but the A032R's were 0.7" wider. It was very obvious, too. So.....same brand, tire family, etc. but there was a BIG difference that the 225/50R16 rating would say otherwise.

 

Im running 17x8.5 in the front with +38 offset.



Oh, and I prefer the term "under-square" as opposed to stretch
