did you have to roll your rear fender?

good thread. How about you guys with 17" rims running 8's and 9's? Or with 8.5's and 9.5's?

I have 17x8(+35) 225/45-17 & 17x9(+38) 255/40-17. I can't lower the car more then 1.25" and I can't go wider on the tires without rolling. I wish they were +40 & +45, so I can go wider since they are allready flush with the outside of the car and wider fronts might rub on the inside when turning.

No, I've never had a problem with the rear fenders. I had a problem with the left front fender. I had the front fenders rolled and have not had a problem since.

Keep in mind that is also with the car lowered 1".

I think Justin is running ssr comps in 17x9.5 all around. I dont know the offset though

Negative.

I'm running 18x9.5 all around with a +50 offset, on stock suspension. NO RUBBING at all.

MazdaMike 08-05-2003 06:12 PM

yea tire size plays a big factor as well. i put an order in for volk gt-c's

18x8 fronts

18x10 (+43) rears

bridgestone s03's:

235/40/18 fronts

175/35/18 rears

ill keep u posted once i get em if i have rubbing i doubt it though

stangkilr 08-05-2003 06:25 PM

i would suggest 285's in the rear and 9's in the front...

rfreeman27 08-06-2003 12:46 AM

think that offest is high enough? are you going to roll the fender?

vosko 08-06-2003 04:16 PM

i am running 17x8 +38 225/45 and 17x9 +38 275/40 . i HAD TO ROLL my rear fenders! my fronts need to be rolled but not as bad as the back. you can go with 18x9 all the way around with 285/30/18 and it won't rub with high offset. if the offset is not available for with 18x8.5 and 18x9.5 i believe that is the suggested rim size from mackin.... they will give you the offset https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...IR#>/smile.png
