I been real busy and hate that its been so long since I've checked back in, got new Kumho's on the FC and I cant wait for it to start warming up!!! I would love to get together one weekend and do some spirited mountain driving. I haven't got to really break my tires in right yet lol. Anyway's, I can rally at least two or three local 7 friends if we can get on the same page. Most of my friends w/ 7's live in SC, and I just cant drive to Charleston for the Feb meet. At least once every couple of months, they have an upstate meet and they come up to the mountains near me, so maybe mar or aprl we can have a large meet.

I might be bringing my 7 up to my house in Sylva the last weekend of March, Normally I meet up with a local friend to do a really nice loop through NC, SC, and Ga heading back into Highlands for a bite to eat.

I can post up when this gets closer and confirm I am bringing the 7 up. That drive is a blast and I rank it up there with a Dragon run minus the traffic.

We call it the 3 state revival.

Sounds like fun! I need a small road trip anyways. The SCRX-7Club may be having there meet in the general area around the beginning of March, Upstate to WNC drive is mandatory when they come to my neck of the woods. I would like to get a whole bunch of us together one weekend. Nothing like the sound of 15 or 20 Rotary powered cars on a twisty mountain road.

I forgot about this thread so I have to say I am sorry for not posting up.

I went up last weekend and had an awesome time. My friend that is local in NC found a road that is the Dragons cousin and free of traffic. I met up with a few Porsche guys I know from my Porsche ownership days and we tore up the place, I put over 250 miles on my RX7 just on the twisties!! It was a great weekend.

My only regret was that I ran out of memory on my video recorder and did not get my really fast run in, the only real run I have on video is a early morning one when the road was wet and we were tip toeing a little.

Here is the run up:

This is the run back down following a couple of 911's the white one is a turbo.

These are the guys I ran with, better people you would be hard pressed to find.

Lots of fun I bet, I am becoming addicted to the asphalt. Nice car as well, I bet that REW is a real rush in your FC. I'm curious, I wasnt able to deduct where this road is you speak of.

Its a secret.

We do not want it to turn into another Dragons Tail so we are keeping it under wraps. My buddy spent months pouring over maps and going on recon drives and finally it paid off.

This is another video, this is from the guy in the Red 911, he is following me, it was taken at the same time as my video above. Its cool to see your own car from behind.

BTW- Yes, the REW makes this car a freaking rush to drive, so much power its almost scary. I also love the 19MPG I am getting on the highway, once I am in the boost on the twisties though it drops to about 10MPG.

I will be back in the area the 1st weekend of November to join a bunch of Porsche guys for their annual Porsche's on the Dragon run.

I will probably shoot up once over the summer too and go back to that road with a few of those guys.

Back from the depths.

Hello fellow rotorheads.

Im usually on RCC or RX7club, I joined this forum along time ago, and finally decided to post.

The community here is kinda dead on this forum isn't it.

Anyway thought I'd give it a spark.

Later.
