I live near Asheville NC in Cruso (Canton) and was wanting to know how many of you Wankel fans live in the general vicinity of me. I frequent the RX7Club, but as I see it, not everyone is a member there. Me and a group of NC/SC guys get together and drive, hang out, etc. Seeing as this is the only thread I could find for the SE, I guess not to many people will be seeing this. I hope to meet new people near me that love there cars and want to hang out with people of the same mindset.

I have a 87 S4, and 6 other friends "local" that have 7's

Will be buying an first gen in a few weeks!

Thanks for the offer 1979rx7, I am hoping to have my 1st gen by the end of next week. I didnt have time to look real close or find out the year, but the price is dirt cheap and I will be working on a building right next door, so I will know more tomarrow. I'm pretty compotant when it comes to the FC, but I have never owned an SA/FB. I just might need some help getting it purring.

djmtsu,

I was at the DGRR last year and had a great time. I will be there come spring, and will probobly bring a few with me again. It sure does feel like its been longer than 7 months ago.

Hey, I live in Sylva, about thirty minutes away! I go to Western Carolina and have a 1st gen, albeit not running yet... We should definently get together. Its good to see someone around here that loves rotaries.

Yeah, There are a few rotary owners in WNC. I know 4 people in waynesville with FC's, two are close friends. Usually a couple of times a month, we get together and run 276,215, and the Blue Ridge Parkway. A group of friends from SC have a meet once a month, and 1/2 the time they come up here to the BRP. I hope you get your 7 running soon, and I think BlackNightFC lives in Sylva to.

I went back and looked at the SA that I posted about earlier and it's a 79. Dont know if it will start or runs at all, and is bad rusty. The price is right..$200.00, but there are alot of things that need to take a look at, but I might just pass.

It's in Asheville, and now it's mine. I decided to go ahead and get it, but theres a lot of **** I'm going to have to replace. I pretty much laid it all out in the RX7Club.com 1st gen section. See: Starting from scratch!!?! I was hoping to get one in better shape, but I tend to be a little impulsive.

I have a vacation home in Sylva!!

I am heading there this spring for to meet with some friends.

We also go out and tear up the mountain roads through 3 states on Sunday mornings.

I see a tricked out Fd running around Sylva, it appears he lives off Cope Creek road.

I am bringing my Fc up there to tear up some roads in the spring. I'll let you know exactly when.
