I got this 91/90 ( the guy said it was a 91 but I don't know). The guy said it has been sitting for the last 4 years. HE said when it ran it ran extremely rich and idled rough. Well I got this 7 like 2 weeks ago and I have tried to fix it but I have no clue whats wrong. I have replaced the plugs and the wires thats about it right now. but when I can get it to actually start it runs really bad, I mean white smoke out the exhaust and you have to keep your foot on the gas pedal or it dies. I can't understand why its doing that. I mean I have started it and stood there while a buddy sits inside it making sure he has his foot on the pedal and I cant figure out whats making it die. Can you help?

U might have a bad injector i had an injector that would stick open sometimes and i would get smoke. If it is running rich one or more injectors could be dumping too much fuel. Mine floods some times i do the unflood procedure and have to hold gas pedal for 5- 10 min untill it clears up. Does it clear up and higher rpm? R u losing water or overheating? I could also be a blown water seal that would make white smoke check oil for water. Check the compression.

Rc engineering will fix and blueprint injectors for 25$ ea.

We have checked for oil and nothing has come up bad. I haven't had the time to do too much to it or even really look. I do remember that we held the gas down for quite awhile and it cleaned up after I think around 30 40 mins. but it still dies when we let off. I tried to keep it up around 4.5 to 5 grand I put it up to 7 for about 10 seconds to see if it would do anything different but nothing different. How can I check the compression?

Go to http://www.rotaryresurrection.com/2n...ion_check.html for compression check how to. If it checks out ok i would check for vac leaks and test your injectors. No overheating right?

No it hasn't overheated yet though. Should I keep an eye on that?
