Who Has A Profec B?
#11
So how exactly do you have it hooked up now? I have heard way too many different ways how to. I would just like a description of exactly where you have the OUT line running, where you have the IN line runinng, and where you have teh vacumn line from the actual controller running. What do I do about my SX FPR? I don't believe their is a vacumn source on it so how would I T into it and the Intake Manifold?
Thanks,
Scott

How to hook up the Profec B to a external wastgate:
1. Run a Vaccume line from you intercooler pipe prior to the intercooler to the side of the wastgate.
2. Run a seperate vaccume line from the same intercooler pipe to the IN side of the profec B controler.
3. Run a vaccume hose from the OUT side of the profec B controller to the top of the wastgate.
4. Run a vaccume line from the intake manifold to the Profec B main unit inside the car.
The reason you want to run the lines from the intercooler pipe right after the turbo to the wastgate is because you will be getting a more reliable boost souce because it hasn't been restricted by the intercooler and all the pipes and throttle body, this will make the boost control more accurate. You shoul also use 6mm or -6an steel braided hose for #1 this will also help. Also don't forget to switch the dip switches to the proper position for external wasgate or you will over boost.

Cool....so don't worry about the Fuel Pressure Regulator than for the boost controller itself?
I will have to tap my turbo for a nipple, but that shouldn't be too tough.
So do I run a T between the IN side of the controller with the Intercooler Pipe and the side of the Wastegate?
Thanks,
Scott

You can do that and it will work no problem, but I've found the boost will be a little more stable if you run seperate lines for each..
Thanks,
Scott
