The setup I told you about would probably be the most cost effective you could go with. It wouldn't be a pretty kit with fancy heat shields and pulleys, but it would do the job.

My next setup will run about $2800, and it will be capable of 700+ HP on the right motor. I'm just hoping that it will spool up reasonably.
Kits are more expensive, but you're paying for the time it took them to design everything. If you don't want to do any fabrication then a custom setup will wind up costing more than a kit.

Cost effective(I guess you could call it time effecient) buying ...
Buying a Kit that is already pre-built with all the hardware fabricated to fit properly VS. Buying parts and MAKING all the hardware fit.
I made my own, and it cost me more time than money...but time is what I have...money I don't :P
