If you run an apex seal threw the exaust housing and kill the wheel you'll need to order a P trim standard shaft for about $120-180 depending on where you get it from + the overhaul kit.. If you kill the compressor side your fucked, but you could easily just buy a 62-1 or other standard shaft compressor assembly to replace it for around $500 or so. However you usually won't hurt the compressor side unless you put it together wrong and back spin the nut off, suck somthing in to it or have totally fucked bearings.. you should check shaft play and thrust play on a turbo at least once a month to catch this and you'll be able to catch when they are going bad before there is any damage to the compressor housing components.. I own 2 TO4R's and I've rebuilt mine 3 times in the last 3 years... 18-20 psi will wear out bearings about once a year or so do to thrust pressure and high shaft rpm's on the bearings, due to the fairly heavy and big comressor wheel...

how do you think a t04r will do with the massive exhaust flow of a 20b?

Sounds too small to me, but I don't have a 20b.

When i was researching it before I bought this T2 setup I found that you need a HUGE turbo to make a good power level on it because the added displacement makes for alot more breathing.I sill might pick up a T04R for this engine tho. I just need to find a car now to drop it in.

for a 20B you'll want a T76 or so turbo with a Q-trim exaust and A/R .96 or bigger ex housing.. I'd go with a 1.30 ex housing if it was me...

how does a t04r 63t .96 sound on a s5 t2? dragon would you recommend a t04r or a gt35/40 for minimal street use and more drag use applications?
