Hey guys, my turbo seals went today in my FC, turbo is a hybrid Garrett turbo (garrett front stock rear/mani) was test driving it with the nice new front mount setup i installed and pop goes the coupling on top of the turbo and loud bang! then lots of smelly oil smoke, smokes all the time heavily now and oil sprays out of the inlet with the airfilter off... anyways, i have another turbo im going to slap on (s4/s5 hybrid) but how much would it cost to rebuild my old turbo? or any mid sized turbo in general.. thanks

 

If you do it yourself w/ balancing its generally $100.



We charge $300 to rebuild one...

 

really?????? i heard its alot more then that.. that may be a really good option then! i forgot to mention the hotside is modified so it has a external wastegate on it, not like it would make a diffrence.. ill look into rebuilding though.. not sure what kind of garrett coldside though dosent say.. heres some pics
