Maybe that's why it spools so quickly.

The T-88 is supposed to be a TDO8.

Mitsubishi turbochargers use a different sizing structure than Garrett. For example, the typical 16G turbo for DSMs is actually a TD05H/16G 7CM. TD05H is the turbine wheel, 16G is the compressor wheel, 7cm is the exhaust housing. The Greddy T78 and T88 are Mitsubishi turbochargers, but Greddy does not use the Mitsu designations for them. The T78 is a TD07 turbine wheel, with a 33D compressor wheel. T88 is a TD08 turbine wheel with a 34D compressor wheel. The reason you cannot find any info on a TD08 is probably because you're not looking in the right place? Maybe understanding the designations a little better will help. Incidentally, the 33D compressor wheel in the Greddy T78 is actually only 1mm larger than a Garrett T66 compressor wheel.

Interesting.. when I had my to4R appart we measured the wheel.. the inducer was 66.8 mm and the exducer size I forgot.. lol.. I think it was like 84 or 87 or 88 mm's or so.. I wrote it down at the shop on the bench so I wouldn't forget.. Any way sounds like it's probably pretty close to the T78 Mitsubishi in size..

crispeed from the other forum was saying that both the TO4R and T78 are similar, same for the T88 and T51R.
