The turbo you got now makes boost as quick as a good set of stockers but without the heat stress.
The GT35/40 would be closer to what you but up a couple (5) notchs. The 40 might be at the same level (but faster) then a T78. So going from BOOST NOW to BOOST at 5000+ RPM may make your driving life unhappy.
Aspec's GT35/40 (call Steve and tell him I said HI!) may be the best of it for you. Unless you want a *****-out-big-boost-big-bang car.
Where do you want to boost to today?

Who doesn't want that?? It's all a matter of funds though. Anyway, have I missed something with that machining comment since I've been gone? I hate those 2 month vacations!! On the bright side of things I am now engaged!! Laterz.

Congrats!
Inside joke to someone else on the thread.
Like most projects I do ("Tony's is slow... he's no mechanic") the engineer side tends to over power the parts-hanger side of me. Solutions to mechanical problems not work arounds.
Plus, it's winter, there is snow on the ground and my drag radials don't like cold wet weather for break-in miles.
When it's 40F+ out I'll start breakin' 'er in. Once the car is dailed in, results will come out.
I WAS hoping to have had the car dialed in by winter but waiting on major parts was a major delay.
Michel probably has more of chance to get some first results out there before I do, since he's just hanging a turbo in place of the old one. Hedwig might beat us all the speed at which he does things! Zoom, zoom.

BTW, i'll be adding rice doors to my parts collection. Unless someone can help me engineer a dihedral syncrho-helix actuaction kit for our car.

Damn it Hedge...I'll have to get those ricer doors to keep up with you. I used to keep a 50lb. bag of rice (Jasmine brand, it's the best) in my trunk when I lived up north to help with traction. Maybe that's your solution Tony :-)
And hey, that's a D1H to you buddy...anyone seen the new Canon 1D MKII? 8.2megapixels, 8.5 frames per second! But enough of the geek talk, I digress....
Sean hasn't given me an update (bustin' ***** now!) on when the turbo is going to arrive but assuming I actually have enough money left over after all is said and done, I'll be on the dyno tuning right away.

Give Sean a call. He works mad hours and doesn't check the threads as much as he works. He's got irons in the fire that most people...might need to talk to him.
Rice? Wow. That's an idea for many things. Of course I would need about 150lbs just to get out of court. Sure glad I don't live someplace where it snows alot. Twelve inchs in the first month of the year is about enough for me.
Hedwig and Michel, check all the bolts to your turbo when you get them. 50% of mine were finger tight. But, we're talking MY fingers. Your results could vary. Also, check the flanges (more for Hedwig) for trueness. Check to see if they are lying to you about being asckew.
