Hedwig and Michel, check all the bolts to your turbo when you get them. 50% of mine were finger tight. But, we're talking MY fingers. Your results could vary. Also, check the flanges (more for Hedwig) for trueness. Check to see if they are lying to you about being asckew.
Thx for the tip, doggie....hopefully I'll remember it when I get the kit. R U running the new Turbonetics 50mm w/g?

That's the new one with the flapper style door, correct? Be careful as some people have had the bolt going through the hinge actually unthread on them.

I think Sean had one rebuilt for around $400. Naturally there's no one rebuild price for any/all turbos as it'll depend on what failed. If it's a simple seal issue, it's not going to be as much as if say you grenade your motor and a corner seal smacks into the turbine at full boost.

yea, but just wondering how the bb compares to a normal not bb turbo... since it is garrett and they can be rebuilt fairly easily here i didn't think it would be that much, but like the rx6 turbo... they say is really expensive and take a long time as you have to ship it back to japan.....

That shouldn't be a problem with the Garrett stuff.

Normal Garret stuff, that's true. But with the HKS Garret stuff it's different. I believe that HKS uses just enough differences so that you can't use the Garret USA parts to rebuild the HKS turbos. That is what I was told, but as always I could be wrong. If I am someone please correct me.
