Bad Dog,

As great as the GReddy 3 row is, a V-mount seems to have all of those advantages without worrying about overheating. I know it's a little more expensive, but it seems to be a bulletproof setup. The one question I have about it is the whole vented hood issue. I will be running the Scoot Sports hood so I'm not worried about that part, but some guys that refuse to run a vented hood may not realize the full potential of the V-mount. That's what I've gathered from my reading and experiences. Hope that helps some.

Zach
Thanks Zach! So glad I have a vented hoodready to put on!

I'll wait until Sean tells me about his v-mount setup....waiting....

v-band where? Connecting the exhaust housing to the center cartridge? Or for the downpipe?

JSpec, I quoted this from one of Sean's earlier posts for you.

"the backside of the turbo is V-band the wastegates will be also" Hopefully that will answer your questions about where the V-band connections are on this turbo. Laterz.

I think you have a new customer then! Getting really tired of dealing with the inadequacy otherwise known as GReddy USA. I just spent more money making phone calls trying to locate replacement GReddy T78 gaskets (turbo to downpipe and manifold to turbo) than the cost of the gaskets themselves. For three days I've been calling people! GReddy sucks. Tell me your kit uses readily available gaskets and I'll buy two! Seems like it'll be everything I'm looking for.

ONLY if I come down and tune it. New rule on a GT40R purchase!

What gaskets? Where there is a v-band, we don't need no stinkin' gaskets! Well, maybe the one between the mani and the turbo...

How big is your port and which engine you going to use? The BRE? Have an idea what CFM you're at? Guess?

Badog,

Which types of EMS can you tune. I'm either going to be running the Haltech E6X or the PFC. Are you familiar with either or both of those?? There is a good chance that BDC will be tuning my car once he builds the engine, but if not then I would need a good tuner seeing as there aren't any in South Carolina. Thanx in advance.

Sean, your turbo kit sounds like the perfect answer for what I'm looking for. You can rest assured that when I do buy my turbo, it will come from your shop! Now I'm just waiting to see dyno charts to reinforce my decision.

I am currently looking at Chuck's Monster V-mount setup. It looks good. I was looking at the regular V-mount he is selling, but it just doesn't look big enough. I want something that if I decide to run 22psi I don't have to worry about maxing out the IC. So the Monster is where I'm heading now. How does yours compare in size and capabilities of the Monster? I believe it was rated at 1250CFM @15psi and capable of supporting 800hp. Granted I'm not going for 800, more like 500 to 550 on high boost. If yours compares you might end up being my "one stop shopping place." And a package deal would probably be available to me as well!! Let me know something.

Zach
I am working on a monster v mount II using a 1400 cfm core enough to support 900 HP. The core measures 11"x19.5"x4.5". There is no way you can out flow this one and best of all, I am keeping it at the same price.
