thanks

I figured it was a flaming river...Looks just like the one in dee's racecar.

as for the manifold, long runners kill top end HP, with a drag car why do you *really* care about torque down low?

and dont make the argument that it will be diven on the street

Virtual Works does some amazing stuff. Now if we could just get him to answer the phone. My roommate wanted to go through Dana to get his Supra done, but couldn't get ahold of him. Busy guy, I guess.

Is the white (or was white) Supra full weight? How about your FD, is it going to be a full interior?

Right now we're just trying to work around a few space restrictions. Once we get the car up and running we'll see what we actually have to work with. Like i said in a post before though.....this manifold setup has better flow than the old. CFM usually equates to hp from what little i know about that stuff.

To be perfectly honest the car will be driven on the street but that's not the reason for it. We don't think the longer runner length will hurt us. Time will tell. Rotaries are not known for there torque so maybe this will give us a broader torque band. That usually equates to better ET's in drag racing.....or so i've heard

We used the passenger side mounting spot and made a billet aluminum clamp to bolt it down. The drivers side we had to cut the k-member (engine cradle) or whatever it's called where the stock mount was. Boxed that in and welded a new mount off of that. That's the part you'll just have to experiment with because i'm sure each would be slightly different. I bought a pinto tie rod race kit from Competition Engineering and we measured cut and welded the ends on.

That's the short story.....any more than that and i'd have to get pics that are zoomed in and break each one down. Hope that helps...if not then we can maybe go over a little more.

Dana's car is not "full weight" but then again neither is anyone elses. It will weigh around 3500 with him in it....give or take a few. Actually i think Saad and Ryan Woon are about the only "full weight" Supra's around. Marko weighs less than Dana's car believe it or not. They're all still pretty damn heavy for drag cars though.

I'm not sure what my car weighs now with the 12 point cage and all the new turbo stuff. With the old setup pretty stripped down it was at 2400 lbs. I'm hoping to be somewhere around 2600-2700 with me in it. It will be full interior and the only window that's not glass is the rear hatch which is CF and Fal.

I'll be at the shop today if you want to stop by. Or give a call in the early evening. Yeah Dana's really busy almost all the time.
