It's pretty small compared to the others

actually the rx6b is good for 550 hp. the normal rx6 is good for 400rwhp.

also the normal rx6 is larger than a normal t04e, but smaller than a t04s. the rx6 is ballbearing which gives it better spool than most turbos.

I'd go with the to4s or 60-1 a/r 70 compressor, a/r .84 exaust.. quick spool up, great response, easy to overhaul, 400 hp and they are very common so cheap to buy... If you look around you'll see that is what most of the circuit racers here in Japan run as well...

What about the to4R turbo? Or is the spool up not as quick? I know this is the single turbo threads, but wouldn't an upgraded twin turbo: like BNR, M2, or '99 spec turbo's be better? I mean if they can get 400hp.. you know the spool up rate should be much quicker than any single turbo.. for a road race set-up.. just a thought.

While twin turbos like bnr,m2, or 99 will spool up quickly, they still will struggle for 400hp. Plus they need to be setup non-seq, no one likes to have turbo's kicking on and off to throw the rear end around. Add heat and complexity to the twins and its just as easy to go with a smaller sized single turbo.

Yea, well that's true.. and I guess it might be better in sacrificing the twins (with the quicker spool-up rate) if you're then going to recieve less problems, with more power.. But just wondering, when it comes to spool up.. what single turbo is the closest comparison to the twins?

RX6 most likely, followed by the BB GT35/40

The GT35/40 is offered with a .86 A/R and 1.06 A/R. Most people have the larger A/R, but if I was picking a turbo for a roadrace car, I would probably go GT35/40 w/the .86 A/R. Very quick spool, plenty of top end (over 400rwhp), and runs sooo much cooler than any twin setup could ... also cooler than some of the other non-water cooled single turbo's.

I wouldn't go with a port quite as large as my nocab-pineapple port, probably something along the lines of a medium street port.
