Why bother? With the extra money you'll spend you could have a couple of spare built 13B's sitting in the garage waiting to go in case the 1st one goes pop in the night.

RB this, RB that. I don't get it. It's just a freakin' engine. Fuel and air go in and it turns. Nobuteru, are you located in North America? If so, forget about the RB. You'll spend too much to get one in your car for what you could if you were in Japan. If you do put one in and then something happens to it, do you believe that the local Nissan dealership will be able to anything for you? Even if you have the parts numbers they might not get the parts. Talk with the managers of the local Nissan dealership parts departments in person to be 100% sure if they can source you any part you might ever need. If you assume on this one you might have a 500# paperweight for a long time if something goes bang.

Are you serious about this or just doing the internet daydreaming thing?

the rotary engine is what makes the RX7! But different strokes for different folks.

If you were going to do it use An SR20, at least there are some of them around.

i honestly just want a very good amount of power. Thats why i was thinking about the 2jz or rb26, good starting platforms, and they are really strong engines. Dont get me wrong, i love rotaries, but when the power starts to grow, especially on the S4 FC engine, the housings and etc cant hold up to as much power, at least as far as i know. If you guys can inform me on better ways, then by all means. Theres nothing I love more than the speed, sound, and fun of the rotary engine. I love spanking pistons. Its just not fun to watch the a/f ratios to see if it leans out and blows. Rotaries are delicate. If you guys can help me out, teach me some more, theyll be no pistons. More along the lines of a T04R OR T51 =D and a sht load of power

I guy over here had a 600hp FC with a t51kia Full BP and a dogmission. (soulassin) The one on the top of the other forum. Just build a large streetport or a BP and you will not have to worry about power and still spend less that changing to a 2J or RB26.

The key to good power and relaibility is good tuning!

The 2JZ is extremely heavy

I would put an 18 degree chevy in my 7 before I put a 2jz in it. 18 degree chevy 410 = 650hp (10:1 compression too )

im sure that chevy has got good power, but i will never throw in an american engine into my FC. Also, i know about soul's car, he is like my God, but the thing is also, he blew his engine not too long after the bridge. Dont know the details too much, but i wish i could talk to him. He put down 620 at the wheels and was good for a 9.6 or something in the 1/4. If you guys can throw some ideas or pointers at me, or some hard info it'd me greatly appreciated. thanks

AS far as I know he never ran the car 1/4, but it was 600ps. Which is enough to atleast get into the 10's. IF you want a highhorse power car they are not going to last as long as a stock car, no matter what eng is in it! RB26's aren't bulletproof, 2J's are much stronger.

Alfs Fc was blown by bad tuning, it could happen to anyone. It happened 3 times at the same shop, so don't base that on getting a piston engine.

You will regret it, **** go 3 rotor before 2j or RB26.

If it was a good idea to put a rb26 in a rx7 it would of been done over here by now, sometimes it is better to let someone do it first. Unless you are loaded then
