HKS T51. Note the turbine housing.

AJC13B's TA45 vs GT35/40 comments and pictures. He's had them both.
RX7 Club Woot!
Dragon bought an HKS T45S! Ask him! Looks like the one in your picture.
Thread from last year.
thought i would post some info since I have this turbo on my car. info posted from the other forum.
I have the same kit on my car right now.
its not exactly the same as the aus ta45 i think its a bit smaller. it is a heavy turbo.
so far I have not ran this turbo at more than 10psi and I normally run it at 8psi everyday driving. I have no dyno #s
yet but it runs pretty strong at low boost I am probably not even in the efficency range yet.
as far as spoolup goes its really not bad, my current t45s has a .90 a/r ehxuast housing made by hks on it and i
can get boost around 2500 rpm and then full boost around 3700 it really depends on where you start to get on it.
yes its pretty dead at 2000 rpm but if you start from 3k there is not much lag. starting in first gear takes no time
at all to get past 3k rpm anyways..
i have been autox the car latley and its fine, its very fun to drive on the street and i dont really thing lag is a issue.
I have the wheels sizes at home. if my memory is somewhat there. the compressor wheel is around 2.5~2.6 on
the inducer and around 3.35 on the exducer.
the exhaust wheel is around 3.1~3.2 on the exducer and 2.6~2.7 on the inducer. Specs are close to the hks
to4r and similar to a t66 should be around a q trim..
my motor is ported pretty large and i have found tunning on the haltech has made a big diff in response
and how the car runs.
hope this info helps, I have been really happy with this kit.

sorry for the large pics.
the manifold jesse is selling looks like it will place the turbo up a bit further than mine though. that is an awesome deal he is selling it at.
if anyone has any questions about the turbo I can try and answer. mako@nationwide.net
thanks,
James

I bought my t45S from Dragon and just went outside to take a look at it. Compressor housing says A/R .84 vs. A/R .72 with the exhaust side a A/R 1.04. Dragon and I compared the exhaust wheel to a P trim one and it was definitely larger than a P trim...possibly larger than a Q trim.
So now I'm confused...
Next time I take the turbo off the car, I'll take measurements of the compressor/exhaust wheels.

Yea, it's a **** hair bigger than a Q-trim..
I actually have another T45S sitting in my 20B Cosmo I bought for the engine, I haven't looked at it much yet, but I did check thrust and side to side play and it looks like it's in really good condition.. I don't remember if it's a A/R 72 or 84 compressor or what ex housing it has, but it's a full Cosmo 20B kit with everything so I'm assuming it's not small.. I may chop up the mani to make it fit in my FD with the 20B and sell the turbo and wastegate separately, but if somebody offers me enough $$ I'll sell the whole kit and make a manifold.... Hint Hint..
