Well I have no idea if its good,i didnt run the turbo yet! But it seems to work for alot of guys out there, more then the -4AN option.I researched the topic alot, i came up with the -3AN as the most likely solution.

Similar problem here since fitting new ball bearing turbo. However im not sure what size my feed is in dash size, I think its 1/4" ID so that makes it -6?

Ive been reading up over that last few days trying to figure out why all of a sudden Im overflowing catchcan after a few laps. Looks like this is fairly common with bb turbos & too high oil pressure...?

I have made a couple of restricot fittings & teed off a pressure gauge to test with.

THe 1st attempt was 1.5mm restrictor which saw 20psi pressure initally but rose to 40psi (idle) while regular engine oil pressure was 60 psi.

2nd attempt was 1mm restrictor which saw 20psi initally rising to ~35psi (idle).

I figure the oil pressure at turbo inlet is rising as the turbo fails to ingest the volume being delivered?

Now i wonder if reducing hose size to -3 would be a better option than a restrictor?

Turbos really do not need much oil to remain lubricated.

I run a -4 for twin turbos with no restrictor, run really heavy oil, and have had no problems thus far.

I would reduce hose size to -3.

-3AN is good as anything... Ran it no issues, no smoking of seals etc.

I run a 120 psi pressure relieve valve....

-3AN
