from what ive heard, signofinfinity, -4AN is good. but i do know some people say it isnt.



atpturbo.com has restrictors. i'm still trying to find positive info on if i need one for my t78.

1.5mm or a hair under .06 is what I use on everything garret that needs a restrictor on a rotary and seems to be ideal. I have used up to 2.0mm without any big problems on your typical rotary, the only difference being that when the seals are close to being totally dead the turbo starts smoking earlier the bigger the restrictor.



HKaSs (garret) kits for rotaries come with a 1.5mm restrictor. HKaSs (garret) kits for piston engines come with a 1.8mm restrictor. Rotaries tend to run higher oil pressure than most piston motors.

i had that problem,,,,,,,,,,, then was told to go to a -3 line so i had to make a few fittings to make the line work,,,,,,,,, and now i have no issues.

so a -3AN would actually better! that figures to 1.5 mm right? hmmm great then i'll have the braided pipe set up like so... -12AN is fine for return though right?

yes -12 will be fine for a return line. Your not going to worry about oil pressure there since it will be returning to the pan.

Dang I was running a -4AN and it seemed like there was still blow-by. I put a restrictor in there and not problem. Any other advice anyone wants to offer? I am running an AF61 (61mm cold side and a 1.0AR) on a 13b-rew.
