That sounds like the Crooked Willow setup, assuming you replace the 1st one as well (less carbon ducts). Has anyone ever settled the which is better: One large or two small oil coolers?
Well, according to the defi gauge oil temp, one 25 row is slightly better than 2 stock oil coolers. With a fan coming on when the radiator fans come on, it is 20 degrees cooler than the stock oil coolers. So assuming that the 34 row is better than the 25 row, its safe to assume that 2 34 row oil coolers would kick ***...but one 25 row oil cooler with fan is still excellent.

Ah gotcha...I think we were both confused :-) Your oil cooler that you are using have a 22mm fitting on it already, right? The Earl's units are Setrab coolers. Good stuff. My 25 row Mocal has 10AN fittings. Seems EVERYONE is out of 10AN including Mocal dealers. I know that www.batinc.net just got a bunch in as did racerpartswholesale.com in the the 25 row size. I'm simply keeping the stock driver's side oil cooler and adding a 25 row to the passenger's side for now. My single is oil fed only and I live in an extremely hot climate so this should do my oil a world of good! Oh, if they don't have the 10AN oil coolers in stock, go with the 12AN and use a 12AN to 10AN adapter if you're in a hurry to get one. I believe they get shipments once a month from Britain where Mocal stuff is made.

My thoughts on 1 large vs. 2 smaller, one 235 series Mocal 34 row would fit with a bit of effort, would be lighter, have fewer lines, fewer AN fittings, fewer connections (naturally) and fewer places to leak! You would have to fab a duct and it would be best if you had an aftermarket front fascia instead of the stock nose pieces. With a 25 row, it'll fit nicely with a FEED, GTC or C-West front and you won't need a duct if positioned correctly.

This sounds like a good idea. I've looked at the CWR kit and drooled over the Greddy kit but I can just add a 2nd (larger) cooler without replacing the 1st one and not have to worry about the temperature dealybob thing mentioned that is built in to the 1st cooler and save big bucks.

:-) Thanks for posting the mistake. You had me worried there for a while. Almost ordered the 20mm's just in case!
