Yeah the SB is a really nice filter, can't beat the price. Especially when you compare it to a foam HKS filter for $115.

k&n part number is rc-3600 it is a 4in opening and is 5in long? maybe 4.5 in long. that is what i am using. i think it was $40?

K&N part #RE-0870 4" opening, 6" base tapered to 4.625" 9" overall length including 1.75" clamping neck.

The only real advantage that the HKS filter has is that it's not too long, which helps save on space. K&N makes some short filters--I used to have one--but sometimes they're hard to find, mostly becase the dealers have to look through a huge catalog.
