I'm not a big fan of nitrous, but it does give bang for your buck. A friend of mine is selling his wet kit, and it is a 35 shot. I've been wanting to go with a bigger turbo, however financial reasons right now keep me from doing that. So, is it possible to set this thing up safely with decent benifits? All i'm looking for is a little more top end power for my apexi rx6 turbo. I assume that I will need to retard my timing in the range it kicks in by a degree or 2. I'm already running 18psi on pump gas with 1200cc injectors, so my duty cycle is getting up around 90% by redline, do I need to worry about maxing out my injectors? The last thing I want to do is blow my motor up out of stupity, so any advice is appreciated.

with that small of a shot, and the fact that it is wet, you have absolutely nothing to worry about, you can actually run up to a 50 dry without much trouble, but, with a wet shot, you are not adding any load on your injectors at all, as the shot includes its own fuel, with the wet kit, you could actually re jet it up to about 100 hp without worry, beyond that, you will want to get a retard box, to retard your timing a few degrees when you are engaging the nitrous, for added saftey.

That makes sense. I'm very new to nitrous, never messed with it on anything else before.

i would suggest going to 1600cc injectors. when you shoot the N2O your going to raise the boost.......

As long as the topic is up about n20, how do those intercooler fogger kits work? is the n20 shot into the intercooler or just cools the air on the intercooler? im kindof interested in that for the stock intercooler

vosko: good point, I didn't even think about that, nitrous creates more exhuast, and hence, more boost than normal,

1revvin7: from what I have seen, it just sprays across the intercooler, kind of a waste of expensive gas if you ask me, you can get similar results with water I believe. now, having your purge valve spraying across your intercooler, best of both worlds =)

thats what i wondered, yeah that does seem like a big waste, id be better off with water.

And n20 cools in the intake charge right? i was wondering if it would help with that since, im gonna be almost maxing out the stock turbo and IC. I know that **** is gonna get hot, so do ya think a little n20 would help with that?

You may run out of fuel pump as well.. I personally wouldn't run NoS.. to F&F for me and I want my power there every time I push the gas.. https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...IR#>/blink.png

Throttle in a Bottle...until the bottle runs DRY https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...#>/biggrin.png

if tuned properly, then it's a great power adder. yeah til the bottle runs dry, but then again the party is totally over when you run out of gas. So take that anyway you want to.
